Flowers in the Attic

Recently, while cleaning out the last of the junk that was left in the walk-in attic, I came across a box that at first appeared to be trash.  However, upon further inspection I discovered that it contained some old velvet and tulle hats and cloches.  Based on some of the shipping tags in the box, I have determined that these hats belonged to Mrs. K.A. MacGowen (the third previous owner and namesake of our house).  Most of the hats have deteriorated a good bit and/or have been crushed and misshapen, but it was so exciting to find “treasure” from yore hidden in our new home.  I have plans to revitalize these little sweeties to give them another run for this century.
