We had another successful Porchfest and Sketch Crawl in Quincy yesterday. Porchfest, a diverse free music event held on the porches of historic homes throughout beautiful downtown Quincy, happens in about a 2-block radius all around our home. Area artists and members of the Gadsden Arts Guild also participate in a world-wide “Sketch Crawl,” sketching and journaling on-site throughout the afternoon.
The weather could not have been more beautiful for porch-hopping with a blanket and a brew to take in quite a diverse offering – from blues, to gospel, to barbershop, to rock, to classical. And the day ended with our beloved Thursday Night Music Club, a great mix of big band and swing, at the Leaf Theatre! I love that our small community has this really cool event every year!
